Automate Instagram comment tracking, DM responses, and Google Sheets logs

This template runs on a schedule, lists recent Instagram media and comments, and skips people already logged in Google Sheets.

JavaScript sends a DM through the Instagram Messaging API with the Page access token stored in that node, then Google Sheets appends commenter, comment, reply, and time. Connect Instagram for Business and Google Sheets. Put the Page access token in the JavaScript node that sends the DM.

How Latenode estimates time and cost

Latenode bills workflow runtime in CPU seconds. The first 10,000 CPU seconds are free each month, then usage follows pay-as-you-go CPU-second pricing. Plug-and-Play (PnP) AI nodes are billed separately—each PnP token is $1 USD, charged pay-as-you-go at vendor cost plus a small processing fee, with no API keys required.

What this template does

  • Checks Instagram comments on a schedule and DMs new commenters
  • Lists comments with Instagram for Business
  • Sends DMs from JavaScript through the Instagram Messaging API
  • Logs each send in Google Sheets so later runs skip the same person

How it works

1
Trigger

Run on a schedule

The scenario starts on the cadence you set, for example every 15 minutes.

2
Action

List new comments

Instagram for Business lists recent media, then lists comments on those posts.

3
Logic

Skip people you already messaged

Google Sheets search finds commenters already logged. JavaScript keeps only new ones.

4
Action

Send the DM and log it

JavaScript sends the DM through the Instagram Messaging API with the Page access token in that node. Google Sheets then appends commenter, comment, reply, and timestamp.

Setup guide

1

Connect Instagram for Business

Add an Instagram for Business connection with access to the account whose comments you want to list.

2

Connect Google Sheets

Add a Google Sheets connection. Use a sheet with columns for commenter, comment, reply, and timestamp so later runs can skip people you already messaged.

3

Set the schedule

Add a schedule, for example every 15 minutes.

4

Send DMs from JavaScript

List media and comments, search the sheet for already contacted users, then send the DM in JavaScript. Put the Instagram Page access token in that JavaScript node. Append a row after a successful send.

Requirements

An Instagram for Business connection that can list media and comments
An Instagram Page access token stored in the JavaScript node that sends DMs
A Google Sheet you can search and append to
A schedule

Automatically like fresh Instagram posts with AI-powered targeting

This template keeps a light Instagram engagement loop. A schedule asks ChatGPT for hashtags. PhantomBuster fetches recent posts for those tags. JavaScript skips URLs already stored in SharePoint, then PhantomBuster likes one remaining post. SharePoint saves that URL so the next run does not repeat it. Connect SharePoint and PhantomBuster. Put the PhantomBuster API key on the PhantomBuster connection.

Automate your sales outreach with Apify, GPT-4o, and WhatsApp

This template starts when you add a prospect URL to Google Sheets. Apify scrapes public contact details. JavaScript cleans name, company, and phone. ChatGPT writes a short outreach script. WhatsApp Business Cloud sends an approved template to that number, then Google Sheets logs the send. Connect Google Sheets, Apify, and WhatsApp Business Cloud. Put the Apify API key on the Apify connection. ChatGPT is a Latenode AI step.

Automatically sync TikTok lead data to a Google Sheets spreadsheet

This template receives TikTok Lead Generation form submits on a Latenode webhook, maps name, email, phone, and custom answers in JavaScript, and appends a row in Google Sheets. If the webhook only includes a lead id, the same JavaScript node loads the full lead from the TikTok Marketing API with your token stored in that node. Connect Google Sheets, then point the TikTok form webhook at the Latenode URL. Add a new worksheet when you want each campaign on its own tab.
