How it works

Trigger

Connect Zoom Account

The template first connects to the user's Zoom account to monitor for new cloud recordings. This trigger step sets up the automation to detect when a new Zoom recording is saved to the cloud.

Set YouTube Channel ID

The user specifies the YouTube channel ID where the Zoom recordings should be uploaded as new videos. This channel ID is stored as a variable for the subsequent upload step.

Extract Video & Audio

When a new Zoom cloud recording is detected, the template uses a headless browser to download the video and audio files from the Zoom cloud storage.

Process Recording Files

The downloaded video and audio files are then processed using custom JavaScript logic. This step extracts metadata like title, description, and tags from the Zoom recording and prepares the files for upload to YouTube.

1. Add a Zoom Recorder node to your workflow. 2. In the node settings, select the Zoom credential you added earlier. 3. Configure the node to monitor your Zoom cloud recordings for new files.

1. Add a YouTube Uploader node to your workflow. 2. In the node settings, select the YouTube credential you added earlier. 3. Map the video and audio files from the Zoom Recorder node to the YouTube Uploader node inputs.

1. In the YouTube Uploader node settings, expand the 'Video Metadata' section. 2. Configure the title, description, tags, and other metadata for the YouTube videos.
