Save and Activate the Scenario
After configuring Clio, Clockify, and any additional nodes, don’t forget to save the scenario and click "Deploy." Activating the scenario ensures it will run automatically whenever the trigger node receives input or a condition is met. By default, all newly created scenarios are deactivated.
Test the Scenario
Run the scenario by clicking “Run once” and triggering an event to check if the Clio and Clockify integration works as expected. Depending on your setup, data should flow between Clio and Clockify (or vice versa). Easily troubleshoot the scenario by reviewing the execution history to identify and fix any issues.
Most powerful ways to connect Clio and Clockify
Clockify + Clio + Slack: When a new time entry is created in Clockify, the automation checks if the time entry is associated with a Clio matter. If it is, and the total billable hours for that matter are nearing the budget, a notification is sent to the project manager in Slack.
Clockify + Clio + Google Sheets: This flow summarizes time entries from Clockify, assigns them to the relevant matters in Clio based on project names or descriptions, and then populates a Google Sheet with the summarized data for reporting and tracking purposes.
