Save and Activate the Scenario
After configuring Harvest, Jira, and any additional nodes, don’t forget to save the scenario and click "Deploy." Activating the scenario ensures it will run automatically whenever the trigger node receives input or a condition is met. By default, all newly created scenarios are deactivated.
Test the Scenario
Run the scenario by clicking “Run once” and triggering an event to check if the Harvest and Jira integration works as expected. Depending on your setup, data should flow between Harvest and Jira (or vice versa). Easily troubleshoot the scenario by reviewing the execution history to identify and fix any issues.
Most powerful ways to connect Harvest and Jira
Harvest + Jira + Slack: When a project exceeds its allocated time budget in Harvest, a bug report is automatically created in Jira. A notification is then sent via Slack to the project manager, alerting them to the budget overrun and the new bug report.
Jira + Harvest + Google Calendar: When a Jira issue is resolved, the time spent on it is logged in Harvest. Following this, an entry is created in Google Calendar to schedule a review of the completed issue and the logged time.
