How it works

Trigger

Set up Telegram bot

Configure the Telegram bot API credentials, including the bot token and chat ID, to enable the bot to receive and send messages on the Telegram platform.

Logic

Translate message with ChatGPT

When a user sends a message to the Telegram bot, the bot will send the message text to the ChatGPT language model. ChatGPT will then translate the message text into the configured target language.

Send translated message

The Telegram bot will then send the translated message text back to the user, allowing them to communicate across language barriers.

Setup guide

Add Telegram Bot API Credential

1. In the Latenode Credentials panel, add a new credential for the Telegram Bot API. 2. Enter the API token for your Telegram bot that you obtained from the BotFather. 3. Save the credential in Latenode.

Configure Telegram Bot Node

1. In the Latenode visual builder, add a Telegram Bot node. 2. Select the Telegram Bot API credential you added in the previous step. 3. Configure the node settings: - Set the target chat ID or username to receive the translated messages. - (Optional) Specify a message prefix or suffix to include with the translated text.

Add OpenAI ChatGPT Credential

1. In the Latenode Credentials panel, add a new credential for the OpenAI ChatGPT API. 2. Enter your OpenAI API key that you obtained from your OpenAI account. 3. Save the credential in Latenode.

Configure ChatGPT Node

1. In the Latenode visual builder, add a ChatGPT node. 2. Select the OpenAI ChatGPT API credential you added in the previous step. 3. Configure the node settings: - Set the target language to translate the incoming messages to. - (Optional) Customize the translation prompt or settings.

Connect Telegram Bot and ChatGPT Nodes

1. In the Latenode visual builder, connect the output of the Telegram Bot node to the input of the ChatGPT node. 2. This will pass the incoming Telegram messages to the ChatGPT node for translation. 3. (Optional) Add any additional nodes or logic to further process the translated messages before sending them back to the Telegram user.
