Sync Dialpad call updates to a centralized Latenode data table

This automation solution allows users to monitor their Dialpad call state updates and automatically create a corresponding record in a Latenode Table for each change.

By integrating Dialpad and Latenode, this automation streamlines the process of tracking and logging call activity, making it easier for businesses to manage their communication records. The primary user intent is to seamlessly synchronize call data between Dialpad and a centralized Latenode Table, providing a consolidated view of communication history.

How Latenode estimates time and cost

Latenode bills workflow runs in credits: 1 credit = 30 seconds of processing. Minimum charge per run depends on your plan. Plug-and-Play (PnP) AI nodes are billed separately—each PnP token is $1 USD, charged pay-as-you-go at vendor cost plus a small processing fee, with no API keys required.

What this template does

  • Extracts call state updates from Dialpad
  • Normalizes call data into a consistent format
  • Stores call records in a Latenode Table
  • Filters for new/changed call events
  • Provides a centralized view of communication history

How it works

1
Trigger

Monitor Dialpad Call Updates

The automation solution listens for changes in Dialpad call state, detecting when a new call is initiated, answered, placed on hold, or ended.

2
Logic

Process Call Data

When a call state change is detected, the solution extracts key details about the call, such as the caller, recipient, duration, and any other relevant metadata.

3
Action

Create Latenode Table Record

The extracted call details are then used to automatically create a corresponding record in a designated Latenode table, providing a centralized log of communication activity.

Setup guide

1

Add Dialpad credential

1. In the Latenode Credentials panel, add a new credential for Dialpad. 2. Provide your Dialpad API key or connect your Dialpad account via OAuth.

2

Configure Dialpad Call State Trigger node

1. In the Latenode visual builder, add a Dialpad Call State Trigger node. 2. In the node settings, select the Dialpad credential you added earlier. 3. Choose the call state(s) you want to monitor, such as 'New Call', 'Call Ended', etc.

3

Configure Latenode Table node

1. In the Latenode visual builder, add a Latenode Table node. 2. In the node settings, select the Latenode credential and the specific table you want to create records in. 3. Map the Dialpad call data fields (e.g. call ID, start time, duration) to the corresponding Latenode table fields.

4

Test the workflow

1. Trigger the workflow manually or wait for a Dialpad call state change to occur. 2. Verify that a new record was created in the Latenode table as expected.

5

Optimize and schedule the workflow (optional)

1. Review the workflow to ensure it's functioning as intended. 2. If needed, adjust the Dialpad Call State Trigger node settings or the Latenode Table node field mappings. 3. In the Latenode builder, configure a schedule or trigger the workflow to run automatically based on your business requirements.

Requirements

Dialpad account with necessary permissions to access call data
Latenode account with access to create custom tables
API keys or OAuth credentials for both Dialpad and Latenode to enable integrations
Familiarity with setting up Latenode workflows to automate data flows between apps
For providers without a native connector in Latenode, use the JavaScript step with that service's API credentials (stored in Latenode Keys / Secrets).
