Latenode

Automate IMDB video downloads, Google Drive uploads, and email alerts

This template starts when a webhook receives an IMDb title or video URL, finds the existing video file in JavaScript, downloads it with a headless browser, stores it in Google Drive, and emails the shareable link with MailerSend. Connect Google Drive and MailerSend, and put the lookup API key in the JavaScript node. It copies a file that already exists and does not generate new video.

How Latenode estimates time and cost

Latenode bills workflow runtime in CPU seconds. The first 10,000 CPU seconds are free each month, then usage follows pay-as-you-go CPU-second pricing. Plug-and-Play (PnP) AI nodes are billed separately—each PnP token is $1 USD, charged pay-as-you-go at vendor cost plus a small processing fee, with no API keys required.

What this template does

  • Downloads an existing IMDb video file and stores it in Google Drive
  • Looks up the file URL in JavaScript with the key in that node
  • Emails the shareable Drive link with MailerSend
  • Does not generate or render new video

How it works

1
Trigger

Receive the IMDb URL

A webhook starts the scenario when you post an IMDb title or video URL.

2
Logic

Find the existing video file

Use a JavaScript node to look up the video file URL that already exists for that title. Put that API key in that JavaScript node.

3
Action

Download and store the file

A headless browser downloads the existing video file. Google Drive uploads it and sets a shareable link.

4
Action

Email the result

MailerSend sends you the Drive link, or a short failure note if the file could not be downloaded.

Setup guide

1

Add the webhook

Add a webhook trigger and copy the URL into the form or app that sends IMDb title URLs.

2

Store the lookup key

Add a JavaScript node that finds the existing video file URL. Put that API key in that JavaScript node.

3

Connect Google Drive

Add a Google Drive connection and pick the folder that should receive downloaded files. Upload the file and set sharing so you can open the link.

4

Connect MailerSend

Add a MailerSend connection and paste your MailerSend API key there. Set the from address and the inbox that should get success and failure emails. Post a test IMDb URL and confirm the Drive file and the email.

Requirements

A webhook sender that posts IMDb title or video URLs
An API key for looking up the existing video file, stored in the JavaScript node
A Google Drive folder Latenode can write
A MailerSend account and API key stored on the MailerSend connection
