Latenode

Daily Telegram polls from Latenode

This template runs on a schedule, builds the poll question and options in JavaScript, and sends that poll to a Telegram chat with your bot.

Connect Telegram. Put the bot token on the Telegram connection. Set the chat id for the group or channel that should receive the poll, and pick the hour in your timezone.

How Latenode estimates time and cost

Latenode bills workflow runtime in CPU seconds. The first 10,000 CPU seconds are free each month, then usage follows pay-as-you-go CPU-second pricing. Plug-and-Play (PnP) AI nodes are billed separately—each PnP token is $1 USD, charged pay-as-you-go at vendor cost plus a small processing fee, with no API keys required.

What this template does

  • Posts a Telegram poll on the schedule you set
  • Keeps question and options in JavaScript so you can edit them in one place
  • Uses the Telegram bot you already connect
  • Works for standups, sentiment checks, or a short team vote

How it works

1
Trigger

Run on a schedule

The scenario starts at the time you set, for example every weekday morning.

2
Logic

Build the poll

JavaScript returns the question, the option list, and any flags you want, such as anonymous votes.

3
Action

Send it in Telegram

The same JavaScript node posts the poll to the chat id you set, using the bot token from the Telegram connection.

Setup guide

1

Connect Telegram

Add a Telegram connection and paste your bot token there. Confirm the bot can post in the target chat.

2

Set the schedule

Add a schedule trigger. Choose timezone, days, and the hour the poll should go out.

3

Author the poll in JavaScript

Return question text and an options array. Put the chat id in that node. Use the bot token from the Telegram connection when the node sends the poll.

4

Send a test poll

Run the scenario once outside the schedule and confirm the poll appears in the chat before you leave it on.

Requirements

A Telegram bot token stored on the Telegram connection
A chat id for the group or channel that should receive the poll
The daily time and timezone you want the poll to go out
