Wrike tasks created from email subjects and bodies

This automation template allows users to automatically convert incoming emails into tasks within the Wrike project management platform. The subject line of the email becomes the task title, and the email body is captured as the task description.

This integration streamlines the process of turning emails into actionable work items, helping teams stay organized and on top of their tasks. It is designed for businesses and teams that rely on email communication and want to better track and manage their work within Wrike.

How Latenode estimates time and cost

Latenode bills workflow runs in credits: 1 credit = 30 seconds of processing. Minimum charge per run depends on your plan. Plug-and-Play (PnP) AI nodes are billed separately—each PnP token is $1 USD, charged pay-as-you-go at vendor cost plus a small processing fee, with no API keys required.

How it works

1
Trigger

Connect to Wrike

Connect your Wrike account to authorize the integration to access your project management data.

Setup guide

1

Add Wrike Credential

Add your Wrike API credentials in the Latenode Credentials panel. This will allow the integration to securely authenticate with your Wrike account.

2

Configure Email Capture Node

Add an Email Capture node to your workflow. In the node settings, map the email subject to the 'Task Title' field and the email body to the 'Task Description' field.

3

Configure Wrike Task Creation Node

Add a Wrike Create Task node to your workflow. In the node settings, map the fields from the Email Capture node to the corresponding Wrike task fields.

4

Test the Integration

Send a test email and verify that a new task is created in your Wrike project with the subject as the title and the email body as the description.

5

Customize and Optimize

Optionally, you can further customize the integration by adding additional logic, filters, or transformations in the Latenode builder to meet your specific needs.

Requirements

Connect your Wrike account and grant the necessary permissions to create tasks
Ensure the email address that will be monitored is authorized to send emails to the Wrike workspace
Verify that the Wrike workspace and project where the tasks will be created have the required permissions
Configure the email trigger to monitor the desired email inbox and capture the subject and body of incoming emails
