Automatically create ClickUp tasks when Dubsado project statuses update

This template opens a ClickUp task whenever a Dubsado project status changes.

Point a Dubsado project-status webhook at Latenode, map project name, status, and notes in JavaScript, then create the task in the list you choose. If you already track the project as a task, add a comment with the new status instead. Keep the ClickUp token on the ClickUp connection.

How Latenode estimates time and cost

Latenode bills workflow runtime in CPU seconds. The first 10,000 CPU seconds are free each month, then usage follows pay-as-you-go CPU-second pricing. Plug-and-Play (PnP) AI nodes are billed separately—each PnP token is $1 USD, charged pay-as-you-go at vendor cost plus a small processing fee, with no API keys required.

What this template does

  • Turns Dubsado status changes into ClickUp tasks
  • Maps project name, status, and notes into the task
  • Can comment on an existing task instead of opening a new one
  • Keeps the ClickUp token on the connection

How it works

1
Trigger

Receive the Dubsado event

A webhook starts the scenario when Dubsado posts a project status change.

2
Logic

Read project fields

JavaScript extracts project name, status, and description. Put a Dubsado API key in this node if you call their API instead of using a webhook.

3
Action

Create the ClickUp task

ClickUp opens a task in your list with the mapped title and description.

Setup guide

1

Add the webhook

Add a webhook trigger and paste its URL into Dubsado as the project-status webhook destination.

2

Parse the payload

Add a JavaScript node to map project name, status, and notes. If you call the Dubsado API, store the key in this node.

3

Connect ClickUp

Add a ClickUp connection. Create a task and choose the Space and List. Map the title from the project name and put status in the description.

Requirements

A Dubsado account that can send project webhooks or expose an API
A ClickUp workspace and list Latenode can write to
A ClickUp connection in Latenode

Common questions about this template

Each run uses credits on your Latenode plan. We charge for processing time (1 credit = 30 seconds). Your actual cost depends on your plan and how long the run takes. See pricing plans for plans and how credits work.
