Create a New Scenario to Connect Github and Okta
In the workspace, click the βCreate New Scenarioβ button.
Add the First Step
Add the first node β a trigger that will initiate the scenario when it receives the required event. Triggers can be scheduled, called by a Github, triggered by another scenario, or executed manually (for testing purposes). In most cases, Github or Okta will be your first step. To do this, click "Choose an app," find Github or Okta, and select the appropriate trigger to start the scenario.
Add the Github Node
Select the Github node from the app selection panel on the right.

Save and Activate the Scenario
After configuring Github, Okta, and any additional nodes, donβt forget to save the scenario and click "Deploy." Activating the scenario ensures it will run automatically whenever the trigger node receives input or a condition is met. By default, all newly created scenarios are deactivated.
Test the Scenario
Run the scenario by clicking βRun onceβ and triggering an event to check if the Github and Okta integration works as expected. Depending on your setup, data should flow between Github and Okta (or vice versa). Easily troubleshoot the scenario by reviewing the execution history to identify and fix any issues.
Okta + Github + Slack: When a new event occurs in Okta (like a user role change), the corresponding user's role and permissions in Github are updated and a Slack message notifies the team about the update.
Okta + Github + Jira: Automatically create a Jira ticket when a new user is added to a Github repository through Okta. This ensures that the addition of new users is tracked for auditing and access management purposes.
