Save and Activate the Scenario

After configuring Github, Square, and any additional nodes, don’t forget to save the scenario and click "Deploy." Activating the scenario ensures it will run automatically whenever the trigger node receives input or a condition is met. By default, all newly created scenarios are deactivated.

Test the Scenario

Run the scenario by clicking “Run once” and triggering an event to check if the Github and Square integration works as expected. Depending on your setup, data should flow between Github and Square (or vice versa). Easily troubleshoot the scenario by reviewing the execution history to identify and fix any issues.

Most powerful ways to connect Github and Square

Github + Square + Slack: When a new commit is made to a Github repository, the workflow checks for related events in Square. If payment issues are identified based on keywords or order status, a notification is sent to a Slack channel to alert developers.

Square + Github + Jira: When a new event occurs in Square (e.g., a sale), the workflow analyzes the sales data. If the data indicates a need for technical improvements or bug fixes (tech debt), a Jira ticket is created to address the issue.
