Sync Asana tasks to Motion to streamline scheduling

This automation integrates Asana, a popular project management tool, with Motion, a scheduling platform, to streamline the task management process. Whenever a new task is created in Asana, the integration automatically syncs and creates a corresponding task in Motion.

This helps teams stay aligned on project timelines and schedules, reducing the need for manual data entry and improving overall project visibility. The automation is designed to address the needs of project managers, team leads, and anyone responsible for coordinating tasks and deadlines across multiple tools.

How Latenode estimates time and cost

Latenode bills workflow runs in credits: 1 credit = 30 seconds of processing. Minimum charge per run depends on your plan. Plug-and-Play (PnP) AI nodes are billed separately—each PnP token is $1 USD, charged pay-as-you-go at vendor cost plus a small processing fee, with no API keys required.

What this template does

  • Automatically creates a new task in Motion whenever a new task is added in Asana
  • Keeps project schedules in Asana and Motion in sync to improve visibility
  • Reduces manual data entry and streamlines the task management process
  • Enables teams to better coordinate deadlines and project timelines across tools
  • Generates a corresponding Motion task with all relevant details from the Asana task

How it works

1
Trigger

Detect new tasks created in Asana

Whenever a new task is created in your Asana project, the integration will detect this trigger and prepare the task data for syncing to Motion.

2
Logic

Normalize Asana task data

The integration will extract the key details from the new Asana task, such as the title, description, due date, and any other relevant metadata, and format this information into a standard format ready for syncing to Motion.

3
Action

Create task in Motion

The normalized task data from Asana will be automatically synced and used to create a new task in your Motion schedule. This ensures your team has visibility into the updated project timeline and can plan accordingly.

Setup guide

1

Add Asana Credential

In the Latenode Credentials panel, add an Asana credential by connecting your Asana account using OAuth. This will allow the integration to access your Asana data.

2

Add Motion Credential

In the Latenode Credentials panel, add a Motion credential by connecting your Motion account using OAuth. This will allow the integration to create tasks in your Motion workspace.

3

Configure Asana Trigger Node

In the Latenode visual builder, add an Asana node and configure it as the trigger. Set the trigger to 'New Task' to listen for new tasks created in your Asana account.

4

Configure Motion Action Node

In the Latenode visual builder, add a Motion node and configure it as an action. Map the relevant task details from the Asana trigger node to create a new task in your Motion workspace.

5

Test and Publish

Test the integration by creating a new task in Asana and verify that a corresponding task is created in Motion. Once you are satisfied with the setup, publish the Latenode workflow to make it live.

Requirements

Create an Asana account and obtain an Asana API key with permissions to access and create tasks
Create a Motion account and obtain a Motion API key with permissions to create tasks
Ensure your Asana and Motion accounts have the necessary workspace access and permissions to integrate the two platforms
Set up the Asana-Motion integration in your preferred automation tool (e.g., Zapier, n8n, Integromat) and configure the trigger to create a new Motion task whenever a new Asana task is added

Automatically translate new Discord messages using Google Cloud Translate

This automation integrates Discord and Google Translate to monitor specific Discord channels for new messages. When a new message is detected, the automation will automatically translate the text into a target language using Google Translate and then post the translated message back to Discord or another destination. This allows users to stay connected with their communities across language barriers, facilitating global collaboration and discussion within the Discord platform.

Translate Telegram messages to any language via Google Translate

This automation workflow allows users to monitor a Telegram chat or channel, automatically detect new messages, translate the text into a target language using Google Translate, and then send the translated version back to the same Telegram chat or save it to a designated destination. This integration between Telegram and Google Translate streamlines cross-language communication, making it easier for users to stay connected and understand content shared in different languages. The automation simplifies the process of translating messages, saving time and effort for users who need to communicate across language barriers.
