Save and Activate the Scenario
After configuring Motion, YouTube, and any additional nodes, don’t forget to save the scenario and click "Deploy." Activating the scenario ensures it will run automatically whenever the trigger node receives input or a condition is met. By default, all newly created scenarios are deactivated.
Test the Scenario
Run the scenario by clicking “Run once” and triggering an event to check if the Motion and YouTube integration works as expected. Depending on your setup, data should flow between Motion and YouTube (or vice versa). Easily troubleshoot the scenario by reviewing the execution history to identify and fix any issues.
Most powerful ways to connect Motion and YouTube
Motion + YouTube + Google Sheets: When a task related to a YouTube video is completed in Motion, this automation retrieves video statistics from YouTube (views, likes, comments) and adds them to a Google Sheet for performance tracking.
Motion + YouTube + Discord bot: When a marketing campaign task is updated in Motion, the flow retrieves the latest video from a YouTube channel and posts an update about it to a specific Discord channel using a Discord bot.
