Test the Scenario

Run the scenario by clicking “Run once” and triggering an event to check if the Gmail and Motion integration works as expected. Depending on your setup, data should flow between Gmail and Motion (or vice versa). Easily troubleshoot the scenario by reviewing the execution history to identify and fix any issues.

Most powerful ways to connect Gmail and Motion

Gmail + Motion + Slack: When a new email arrives in Gmail, search for tasks in Motion that might be related to the email's content. If matching tasks are found, send a Slack message to notify the relevant team about the email and the related task.

Motion + Gmail + Google Calendar: When a task deadline is updated in Motion, search for emails in Gmail. Then create a focus time event in Google Calendar, taking into account the task deadline and estimating time based on email workload.
