Save and Activate the Scenario

After configuring PagerDuty, YouTube, and any additional nodes, don’t forget to save the scenario and click "Deploy." Activating the scenario ensures it will run automatically whenever the trigger node receives input or a condition is met. By default, all newly created scenarios are deactivated.

Test the Scenario

Run the scenario by clicking β€œRun once” and triggering an event to check if the PagerDuty and YouTube integration works as expected. Depending on your setup, data should flow between PagerDuty and YouTube (or vice versa). Easily troubleshoot the scenario by reviewing the execution history to identify and fix any issues.

Most powerful ways to connect PagerDuty and YouTube

PagerDuty + YouTube + Slack: When a PagerDuty incident is resolved, the automation retrieves a specified YouTube video and posts a link to it in a dedicated Slack channel for team learning and knowledge sharing.

YouTube + Google Sheets + PagerDuty: This automation monitors YouTube video views. When a video's view count is retrieved and logged to Google Sheets, if a sudden drop in views is detected compared to previous data (calculated in Google Sheets), a PagerDuty alert is triggered.
